This stunning antique pewter wine can which was made in Switzerland in the late 17th to early 18th century has a hexagonal body with a cockerel finial to the spout and large ring handle to the top. The sides have a dove and leaf engraved design. The front is later engraved with the initials H.G.S above a cross with the date of 1743.
Written in ink on the base is from castle Windegg made 1690 - 1700. ingraved 1743.
An attractive, interesting and rare antique wine can that looks great on display.
