This charming scratch built game of chance which dates from the beginning of the 20th century originates from France, is made of oak and features three dice.

This hand made game is a variant on a chuck-a-luck gambling game which was popular in the beginning of the 20th century.

This one is nicely made with glass front and backs fitted to a wooden box surround and which holds three dice. A wooden side flipper, which when pressed flips the three dice inside the box to reveal the number of each. Wagers would be placed on possible combinations that would appear on the three dice.

A very nice unique item that would make a fun piece for a casino, bar or ideal for home use.

Date: Early 20th century.

Dimensions: Width including side lever: 31.5 cm (12 1/2"). Depth: 11 cm (4 1/4"). Height including carrying handle: 26.5 cm (10 1/2").

Weight: 1578 g.

Condition: Very good antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Some dings, marks, scratches and wear leaving a wonderful aged patina. Some old woodworm which has been treated as a precaution. Please see pictures.
