This fantastic quality silver plated cricket trophy cup which features three crossed cricket bats surrounding a cricket ball has engraved decoration to the top and base, dates from 1871 and is nicely gilded to the inside.
The front is inscribed as follows:
Presented to George Wilson Being The Highest Average Scorer of the Alliance Cricket Club. October 21st 1871.
A great looking Victorian trophy that would make a unique collector's piece for a cricket enthusiast.
Material: Silver plate.
Date: 1871.
Dimensions: Diameter at base and top: 9.5 cm (3 3/4"). Height: 21 cm (8 1/4").
