This fabulous Victorian dog collar which is made of silver plate dates from the mid 19th century and has a studded design.

This handsome English collar which is adjustable has a blue leather lining which is in very good condition, a padlock, bell and a charming engraving that shows the original dog's name and address which are Prince Simpson. 65 Burnt Ash Rd, Lee.

The padlock opens by sliding the escutcheon sideways to release the lock to eliminate the need for a key.

A nice unusual antique example.

Materials: Silver plate. Leather.

Date: Mid 19th century.

Dimensions: Diameter (smallest size when adjusted): 11.5 cm (4 1/2"). Height: 2.5 cm (1").

Weight: 152 g.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Some general wear. Silver plate is worn where the lock has rubbed over many years. Leather in very good condition. Lock work as it should. Please see pictures.
