This unusual antique / vintage skiing trophy which is in the form of a miniature ski is made of wood and dates from 1938.

This trophy has a white metal plaque to the front which is engraved with the inscription W.H.S.C. White Hare Race. T.A Martin. Winner. 24.1.38. This trophy was presented from White Hare Ski Club, Andermatt, Switzerland in 1938.

The wooden ski bears the maker's marks for Norwegian ski maker Splitkein to both the front and back which reads Ostbye Patent. Splitkein Trade Mark.

This unique trophy would make a fine collector's item.

Material: Wood. White metal.

Date: 1938.

Dimensions: Length: 64 cm (25 1/4"). Width: 2.5 cm (1").

Weight: 78 g.

Condition: Very good antique / vintage condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Some marks, light scratches, general wear and a small hole to the top. Please see pictures.
