This handsome antique walking cane which has a beautiful malacca shaft with pronounced ridge, horn tip and a horn crook shaped handle is a good length at 91 cm.

This wonderful quality walking stick has a decorated silver collar which is fully hallmarked for 1922 and bears an inscription in Welsh which reads

cyflwynedig gan dosbarth ysgol sul salem newydd i mr thomas duggan ar ei brioddas auraidd mawrth 27 1930

(Presented by Salem Newydd School Class to Mr Thomas Duggan on his Golden Wedding March 27 1930).

This beautiful walking stick that would make a wonderful gift is a great collector's piece for a walking stick collector and is in good usable condition.

Date: 1922.

Hallmarked to top: Lion for sterling silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter X for 1922. Maker's mark J.P.

Materials: Malacca shaft. Silver collar. Horn handle and tip.

Dimensions: 91 cm (35 3/4") Length. 11 cm (4 1/2") Width at top of horn handle.

Weight: 238 grams.

Condition: Good solid used antique condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. Some light scratches, small bruises, nibbles and general wear. Please see pictures.
